How do I register/book?

All group class bookings are made via the Team Up Members App. Go to the ‘book a class’ section where you will be guided through downloading the Team Up Members App.

Private and semi-private sessions for reformer available upon request. Please feel free to get in touch on jane@ptpilates.studio or what’s app 07761287193.

Getting started - I have never worked on Pilates Mat or Reformer but can I try it out?

If you are new to the Pilates Mat or Reformer or new to the studio please why not book for a 30 minute session to try it out. You will need to book a private appointment first so please get in touch.

Should Pilates replace my regular workout?

Pilates exercise is a musculo-skeletal conditioning program that focuses on strength and stability. Pilates is ideal in combination with some kind of cardiovascular exercise, such as walking, running, aerobics or aqua fitness, and is a great complement to a weight training program or athletic training. Pilates can and should be done as part of a complete fitness routine.

Cancellation Policy
Please note that all changes must be made within 24 hours of the class you are rescheduling as we have a strict 24hr cancellation policy. Calling, whats app or text on 07761 287193 or by emailing on jane@ptpilates.studio is acceptable.

How long do I have to use up my classes?
You will have six months to use a 10 class pass.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable workout clothes (cycling shorts under baggy shorts for men).

You must wear socks (regular or grippy toe socks) of some description when on the reformers for hygiene reasons. We do sell socks at the studio that you can purchase that are specific for pilates workouts.

What do I bring?
It is a good idea to always bring a water bottle to every class, however water is available to purchase in the studio. Otherwise, please minimise the possessions that you bring to the studio.
It is a good idea to bring a small hand towel to class with you.

How long is each session?
Each class is 55 minutes long. However, shorter sessions can be booked at 35mins according to need or your preference.

What if I am pregnant?
Please talk to us directly if you are pregnant. We will be able to advise you what you can and can’t do with us. If you are an existing client already attending our classes and you fall pregnant, please let us know immediately. Each body and every pregnancy is different so we just need a quick check through of what you may need to change in your practice. Up to 16 weeks you are usually fine to continue your exercise classes as normal but we will be keeping a special eye on you!

From 16 weeks if you are already attending private classes, we can adapt classes around you and modify exercises with your pregnancy in mind.

After pregnancy
Exercising too soon after pregnancy can be hazardous so make sure that you check with your doctor before you restart an exercise regime. Taking daily walks and doing your pelvic floor exercises and tummy pull-ins is usually enough for the first six weeks following childbirth. When you feel ready and have consulted your medical professional, you can start back into class although we would advise not pushing your body too far to begin with. Make sure that you tell your instructor about any issues you had during or after delivery so that we can make sure you don’t do anything too soon.
